Why Singapore?
Singapore punches far above its weight. In a country of just 734 km², you get world-class food at every price point, extraordinary modern architecture, intact colonial neighbourhoods, lush tropical gardens, and one of the best-run transit systems on earth. It's the easiest city in Asia to navigate as a first-time traveller, and one of the most rewarding.
Singapore is also genuinely compact. You can get from the heritage shophouses of Chinatown to the supertrees of Gardens by the Bay in 20 minutes by MRT. Three days is enough to see its highlights; five days lets you breathe.

Singapore Travel Tips
