How does the route optimisation work?

Locovise uses a genetic algorithm to find the most efficient sequence of stops, minimising total travel time between attractions. Real road distances are calculated via OSRM (Open Source Routing Machine), so the time estimates reflect actual driving or transit conditions rather than straight-line distances.

Which cities are supported?

Locovise supports any city in the world by pulling live attraction data from OpenStreetMap via the Overpass API. Paris, Bangkok, and Karachi have pre-loaded, curated datasets for instant results. Any other city can be searched by name and will be geocoded and queried in real time.

Can I plan a multi-day trip?

Yes. Set the number of days using the slider (1-7 days) and Locovise will distribute attractions across days, ensuring each day fits within your chosen daily hours. Each day gets its own optimised route shown on the map.

How accurate are the cost estimates?

Costs are estimates based on real-world averages for your chosen budget tier (Budget, Mid-range, or Luxury). They include accommodation, meals, transport, and attraction entry fees. Actual costs will vary depending on travel dates, booking timing, and personal choices.
